Eduardo “Eddie” Alvarez was raised in the fields that would become Alvarez Organic Farms, growing up alongside the business his father built from the ground up. As the eldest son of founder Hilario Alvarez, Eddie has been part of the farm since its earliest days, learning not only the technical aspects of farming, but the deeper values of discipline, resilience, and respect for the land.

Eddie has worked side by side with his family, watching firsthand as his father turned hard work and determination into opportunity. What began as a small family operation has, over the years, grown into one of Washington’s leading organic farms—and Eddie has been there every step of the way.

Today, as CEO of Alvarez Organic Farms, Eddie carries forward his father’s vision while guiding the farm into its next chapter. He remains deeply committed to the principles that built the business—organic integrity, sustainable farming practices, and strong community relationships—while continuing to expand its reach across wholesale markets and local farmers markets.

Under Eddie’s leadership, the farm has maintained its dedication to producing high-quality, USDA certified organic products while strengthening partnerships with restaurants, retailers, and families throughout the region. For Eddie, farming is more than a business, it is a legacy, a responsibility, and a connection to both his family’s history and the community they serve.
